This page explains, in plain terms, what information we collect when you visit or use our website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We've tried to keep the legal language to a minimum while still covering everything properly. If you continue using AIVidyaSetu after reading this, it means you're okay with the practices described below.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly: Some information you give us on purpose. If you create an account on AIVidyaSetu, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password for authentication and account management purposes. If you email us, sign up for our newsletter, or send feedback through a form, we'll typically end up with your name, your email address, and whatever else you decide to share in that message. Nothing more than what you type in.
Information Collected Automatically: Other information gets collected automatically, simply because that's how the web works. When you land on any page of AIVidyaSetu, our servers pick up things like your IP address, the browser and device you're using, which page sent you here, and roughly when you visited and for how long. None of this is unusual — nearly every website logs this — and for us it's mainly useful for spotting which pages people actually find helpful and which ones need work.
Log Files
Like most sites, we keep server log files. These record details such as IP addresses, browser type, your internet service provider, timestamps, the pages you entered and exited from, and click activity. We use this data for basic housekeeping — running the site, watching for unusual traffic patterns, and understanding how visitors move around. On its own, this log data isn't tied to who you are personally.
Cookies and Similar Technology
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to ensure the website functions properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors interact with our site. The cookies used on AIVidyaSetu generally fall into the following categories:

AIVidyaSetu displays advertisements served through Google AdSense and its advertising partners. Google and its third-party advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies for serving, measuring, and personalizing ads based on your prior visits to this website or other sites across the internet.
These technologies may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers where applicable, to help determine ad relevance and measure advertising performance.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to get a general sense of how people use the site — which pages get visited, how long someone sticks around, what device and browser they're on, and roughly which part of the world they're browsing from. It's aggregated data that helps us decide what to write about next and what to fix. You can read more about how Google handles this at policies.google.com/privacy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
External Content & Integrations
AiVidyaSetu may occasionally link to or integrate trusted external resources. When interacting with third-party sites or external providers, their respective privacy policies and terms of service will apply. We recommend reviewing their privacy statements before sharing personal information.
AI Tools & Google Gemini API
When you use any of our free AI tools — such as the Business Plan Generator, Resume Score Builder, Ad Copy Generator, or assistive features within the AI Video Editor (such as AI audio transcription and voiceover) — whatever you type or submit into the tool gets sent to Google's Gemini API so it can generate a response for you. We don't store your inputs or audio prompts on our servers, and we don't log what you typed or what the AI came back with. The request goes to Google, the response comes back to your screen, and that's the end of it on our side.
That said, Google does process your input on their end according to their own policies. If you want to understand how Google handles data sent through the Gemini API, you can read their privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy and their Generative AI terms at ai.google.dev/terms.
Our tools are also rate-limited — currently 10 requests per minute per visitor — which is there to keep things running smoothly for everyone and to prevent misuse.
Image & Video Processing
We provide multimedia creation and processing tools on this site designed with privacy in mind:
The AI Video Editor operates on an in-browser, client-side engine using modern WebCodecs, HTML5 Canvas, and Web Audio APIs. When you import video footage, photos, or sound files into the editor, all timeline composition, clipping, visual effects, and video rendering happen entirely inside your local web browser. Your video clips and media files are never uploaded to our servers, stored in remote databases, or retained by us. When you choose to use optional assistive AI features (such as AI Auto-Captions or AI Voiceover), only the specific audio track or text prompt is temporarily sent to Google's Gemini API for processing as described in Section 08.
The Image Compressor runs entirely in your browser. Your images never leave your device — there's no upload, no server processing, nothing sent anywhere. It's all handled locally using your browser's built-in capabilities, so your files stay completely private.
The Image-to-Prompt tool is different. When you upload an image there, it gets sent to Google's Gemini API so the AI can analyze it and generate a descriptive prompt for you. The image is processed by Google's servers during that request, but we don't store your uploaded images on our end. Once the response comes back, that's it — the image isn't saved or logged anywhere by us.
Links to Other Websites
Every now and then we link out to other sites — a tool we recommend, a source we've referenced, that sort of thing. Once you click through, you're on their turf, governed by their privacy practices, not ours. We'd suggest giving any unfamiliar site's policy a quick read before sharing information there.
Third-Party Service Providers
To keep AIVidyaSetu running smoothly and deliver our services, we work with the following trusted third-party providers. Each provider processes data only as needed for their specific role and in accordance with their own privacy policies:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data shared with our service providers is limited to what is necessary for them to carry out services on our behalf.
Data Retention & Account Deletion
Your account data (name, email address, encrypted password) is retained for as long as your account remains active on AIVidyaSetu. We keep this information only for the purpose of providing you access to your account and our services.
If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you can do so at any time by visiting your Profile Dashboard and clicking "Delete Account", or by emailing us at infoaividyasetu@gmail.com. Upon receiving your deletion request, we will permanently remove your personal data from our active databases within a reasonable timeframe.
Server log files and anonymized analytics data may be retained for a limited period for site maintenance, security, and aggregate reporting purposes, but this data is not personally identifiable on its own.
Do-Not-Track Signals
Some web browsers offer a "Do-Not-Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing activity not be tracked. Currently, there is no universal industry standard for recognizing or responding to DNT browser signals, so our website does not alter its data collection or tracking practices upon receiving a DNT signal from your browser.
If a standard for responding to DNT signals is adopted in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to reflect our practices accordingly.
Your Rights Under CCPA
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you certain rights over your data: you can ask what personal information we've collected about you, request that it be deleted, or tell us not to sell it. We do not sell your personal data to any third party. To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at infoaividyasetu@gmail.com and we'll handle it within the legally required timeframe.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you're located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you a broader set of rights — including the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict how it's processed, object to processing, or receive a portable copy of it.
We rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- Consent: Where you have given explicit permission for a specific processing purpose (e.g., personalized advertising). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate Interests: Where processing is reasonably necessary for our business purposes (e.g., analytics, site security, fraud prevention), provided these interests do not outweigh your fundamental rights.
- Performance of a Contract: Where necessary to fulfill our obligations to you, such as providing account access and services.
- Legal Obligations: Where necessary for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Our services are not directed at children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow shared personal details with us, please let us know right away at infoaividyasetu@gmail.com and we'll remove it as quickly as we can.
Keeping Your Data Secure
We take reasonable precautions to keep your information safe from unauthorized access or misuse. That said, nothing sent over the internet or stored electronically can be called completely secure — we do our part, but we can't promise perfection, and honestly, no website can.
Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page whenever our practices change or the law requires it, and we'll always bump the "Last Updated" date at the top so you know something's different. If we make material changes, we may notify you prominently on the website. It's worth a glance every so often.
